Gas Chromatography

Gas chromatography is a separation, identification and mixture quantification technique which the components have to be volatile and thermally stable. The principle is that the substance goes by the stationary phase (fixed) migrating through the mobile phase, in this case, a gas mobile phase, that results in sample compounds migration with different speed. Some applications areas are: chemical industries, environmental, pharmaceutical, food, oil, clinical testing laboratory, forensic, etc.
